My focus has been to keep up with work while helping my mom pack, sell her home and soon move after my Daddy suddenly passed in early April. The blessing in all of this is that she will be moving into our neighborhood into a newly remodeled home that my Dad would have loved for her. "Dear Dr. Goldman, A little over one year ago, in October of 2003, you changed my life. When I had my breast reduction surgery. I had no idea of the changes that would take place in my life or in my perception of myself. Here are some of the things that are different in my life: 

1. I can now buy a bathing suit based on the number size instead of the cup size. 
2. I can run up and down stairs without holding my boobs. 
3. My back and neck don’t hurt for the first time in at least 10 years. Bad news for my chiropractor and massage therapist -- good news for me. 
4. I can wear more fitted shirts and blouses as opposed to ones that look like Omar the Tentmaker made them.
5. Someone, not my husband, actually told me I looked “hot” the other day. In 41 years that term has never been used to describe me. 
6. I have lost 23 lbs. 
7. I faced my fears and started taking yoga. My former fear of doing an inverted pose and tipping over is no longer with me. 
8. I can look down and see my feet. 
9. I can buy bras at Victoria’s Secret. Not only can I buy bras, the D cup was too big. Even better, for the first 1st in my life, I have pink, blue and lavender bras. I also have a balance on my VS credit card since my first purchase was over $400. 
10. Spaghetti straps, strapless and camisole are now part of my vocabulary.
11. I don’t ask my husband any more to hold one of my boobs and ask him how much he thinks it weighs. 
12. My nipples go outward instead of downward. 
13. When I lay down, one boob doesn’t go east while the other one goes west. They just kind of stay there. 
14. I’ve looked at myself every day for the last year, and have wondered if they will grow back. They haven’t, and aft4er asking you several times, I am actually starting to believe they won’t. 
15. If an earring or a necklace falls into my blouse. I am actually able to find it as opposed to losing it in the former abyss, only to find it when I took my bra off at night and it fell out. 
16. I am finally being resolved of my compulsion to show strangers pictures of my naked “before” boobs. Yes, I’ve done that. I showed a friend once when we were driving, actually she was driving, we almost had an accident. 
17. When I enter a room, my boobs come with me instead of before me.
    
    

Most important, I like myself and feel better about myself than I have in 41 years. I have you to thank for that and I will be eternally grateful."

"Dr. Goldman is a caring, considerate and excellent physician. He is a profoundly good surgeon with the eye of an artist. He reduced my nearly DDD to a very nice D. The repositioning of my nipples was a particularly well done surgery. Instead of pointing toward the ground, they now are pointing nearly straight ahead with absolutely no loss of sensation. Scarring is minimal (but of course, you must follow his post op instructions with regard to proper healing and bandaging). My husband is amazed at the quality of the end result. "I have been Dr. Goldman's patient for the past 10 months. I had reconstructive surgery after a double mastectomy. Dr. Goldman explained all of my options in great detail and helped me pick the reconstruction method that was right for my condition. He met with me and my husband and answered every question we asked. He is extremely thorough and clear in his communication. Prior to each surgery I met with his nurse, Diane (who is outstanding), and she reviewed with me (and my husband) EVERYTHING we needed to know to prepare ourselves and our household for pre and post surgery. The pre-surgery review is invaluable. I have had other surgeries in my lifetime and never has a doctor taken such care to ensure I understood what was about to happen and what I needed to do to stay healthy. Diane made herself available via email and text and was extremely prompt at returning communications. Dr. Goldman is extremely professional and his work is outstanding. He puts great emphasis on sterilization and makes sure that his patients know how to properly care for their incisions to avoid any type of infection. My main surgery, double mastectomy with expanders, was followed by several other surgeries: one to swap the expanders with gel implants and three others to perform fat grafting to even out the breasts. Every step of the way Dr. Goldman would tell me what to expect for pain, recovery, etc - and he was exactly right. Nothing was left to surprise. Every surgery went flawlessly. I am very pleased with his work ethic and with his skill. The scars are barely noticeable and my breasts look natural (and younger). I have also had a very positive experience with his staff. Everyone, including Dr. Goldman, is extremely warm and welcoming. Appointments are always on-time. His billing employees were extremely helpful. Dr. Goldman helped my husband and I make sense out of a time that was very overwhelming. He is kind and caring. I trust him with my life and I highly recommend him to anyone who needs a plastic surgeon."

 "I just completed my fifth surgery with Dr Goldman over roughly a five year period, all were related to breast reconstruction (mastectomy, saline implants, new gel implants, 2 fat grafting) and all went exceptionally well.
